If you are obtaining a loan for your home purchase or refinance, be sure to stay in close contact with your lender throughout the approval process. You will be notified of any special requirements that must be met prior to loan approval and the closing and funding of the loan. It is extremely important to respond promptly to your lender’s request for information or documentation, so as not to delay your loan approval or closing process.
Contact your Homeowners / Hazard Insurance agent as soon as possible to obtain your Homeowner Insurance Policy.
If a Power of Attorney is to be used in the closing (i.e.: if one party cannot be present and another needs to act on his/her behalf), advise our office immediately. The Power of Attorney must be in a form acceptable to your lender, our office and the title underwriter.
The commitment for title insurance you are purchasing will be sent to your lender and agent before closing for review. Please feel free to call us if you have questions regarding your title commitment.
If you are obtaining a loan for your closing, we will not have final figures until we receive your lender’s closing instructions. The final amount due from you for the closing, must be wired to our office. Neither personal checks nor cashier’s checks are accepted for closing funds.
Upon receipt of your fully-executed contract, you will be notified of the name of your closing team. Your closing team will be happy to answer any questions you have.
